The Lost Explorer Company

The Lost Explorer Mezcal Company produces small-batch, artisanal mezcals cultivated on ancestral Miztec land in Oaxaca, Mexico. The Lost Explorer was the world's most awarded mezcal in the first year of launch.

Co-founded by David de Rothschild and Thor Björgólfsson in partnership with award-winning Maestro Mezcalero Don Fortino Ramos,  The Lost Explorer Mezcal is available in three unique varietals: Espadín, Tobalá, and Salmiana. Each varietal was born from a process deeply in tune with the rhythm of nature reflecting the diverse terroir of Oaxaca.

The Lost Explorer Mezcal is dedicated to empowering sustainable Mexican enterprise whilst also protecting the artisanal craft, heritage, and biodiversity of Mexico. The brand seeks to inspire people to explore and appreciate their environment, foster social good, and promote curious living.
